This was an amazing story. Darkness is so interwoven in this book it was written magnificently.
Malick and Vera immediately have hate for each other. Their venom that they spit at each other. Pranks taken too far.
Not to mention the town's darkness in history and spirits hold the town hostage so one must endure.
Malick and Vera weave their relationship to hate, lust, to needing each other.
Their journey of pain thrown against each other. Then throw in the spirits that also are trying to attack them at every angle.
This book was wonderfully written with all the angst and grittiness that you love from a dark read.
