This story takes you on Lale's journey from when he first arrived to concentration camp. He arrived on 1942 and would be there a couple years.


He eventually became a tattooist in the Auschwitz camp. Marking his fellow men and woman. He had a job in a higher setting that wasn't manual labor and had perks that many did not.


He met Gita through that line of never ending people. Once their eyes locked, he knew she was it for him. If only they could survive the day in that hell.


He used his position to help his fellow and woman. Sneaking extra portions of food. They never had enough to eat. He worked w. A pair of workers that came during the day and traded goods for food.


Each day he clung to hope that Grita and him could survive being in the cps. They must! That life couldn't be all that there was!


This novel takes you on a journey of hope, perseverance, and bravery in what one will do to look out for one another and survive hell.


If you like books on ww2 era that touches on the history of what happened, you will love this book, but know your heart will forever be lost amongst the pages of heartbreak and despair many have suffered during this time period.
