Loved this story between Alessandra and Kallias. She has her plan drawn out and ready to put into action. She's methodical in her approach. Her father doubts her to be successful and repeatedly tries to get her to change course. She captures Kallias in her web and carefully puts her plan into action. Along the way she develops a true connection to the King. Will this connection derail her from her true mission? Throughout their journey she looks out for his best interest and saves his life. While still unsure she can make the mistake again of sharing her heart with someone else, she remains steadfast in finding solutions to Kallias' problems. Will they find another killer amongst the counsel? This was such a fantastic read. I was upset I started later at night and had to force myself to put it down as it was a work night. Then was watching the clock until I got off work to hurry and finish it. I sure hope there will be a second book as I need more!!
