Ruby's life takes a drastic turn. Helping the resistance pilots that were shot down.
Eventually taking in Charlotte, the young girl next door as the police came in the middle of the night arresting Jewish people.
This was a story of heartache, history, bravery, and finding love in a time of war.
Ruby's fierceness was amazing to read as she took risks to help others to safety. Watched over a young girl and took her on as apart of her family and kept her safe since her parents were taken.
This was a wonderful book and i can't wait to read more from this author!
