This was an amazing story of two different journeys in two different eras, but the road taken the same. One was being a refugee from Syria and the other during he Holocaust.
Both their journeys consisted of trying to get to safety. It spoke of how families were ripped apart. Some of their family member died due to the tragedy of war. How could they ever be whole again? It was also the children who suffered the most.
The story was so heartfelt and spoke to what each person endured and the strength they must of had to keep going. The people along the way that were there to help or that were there for ill intent and trying to do harm to them.
I do wish that it involved both parties together more in the story then just the story being mainly about their separate journeys in life and then the last paragraph it came together with both sides.
It was a great ending, however if was like a couple paragraphs that tied it together, i wish it had been more to the ending then just here she is, goodbye.
However, the story is still worth reading and going on the journey with both eras and seeing what it truly is like for a refugee.
