Beneath a Blanket of Snow

By: Arlene Lomazoff-Marron

This was a great story of four women living the high life. When life's havoc came for each of them, they all responded differently. They turned their backs on each other, snubbing Meredith as she was the first to struggle.

Meredith rose up against the shun to her and her family from the affluent neighbors. She gathered all of her strength and ensured her family could endure the storm that came their way.

This story was a reminder that life isn't always roses, but how you respond to the difficult situations helps define your character and outlook in life.

I loved this novel and the stories of each woman presented. Also, how they mended their friendship at the end to be more meaningful and less shallow.

Description

Jonathan Perkins had it all: a successful business, a stunning home, a wonderful family. He was on top of the world—until he nearly threw it all away. Meredith Perkins lived a life of luxury, courtesy of her husband’s hard work and diligence, but was isolated from the realities of the working world. Her days were spent decorating their spacious home, lunching with affluent friends, practicing yoga, and shopping in boutiques… Until her husband’s crime turned her world upside down. Meredith found herself hounded by the media, deserted by friends she had counted on for support, and struggling to reconstruct a life for her and her children…But her friends kept their own secrets...How much do you trust your spouse? Do you keep secrets from your partner? How much do you trust your friends? Is everything what it seems on the outside?
