Evelynn has been burned by guys in the past. Growing up in the world of politics and power, she’s no stranger to being used to get ahead, or the people surrounding her to be fake to get ahead. There is one goal in this game and that is to become the winner.
Always being in that life, she is now an adult, working to become House member in Congress. As the race gets tighter, her campaign manager tells her there is doubt amongst the constituents on her being a committed and trustworthy candidate. In order to portray that she is, she has to find a man!
The campaign manager, Molly, finds no other than her first disappointment from men, starting in highschool. Can they pull this off? She must trust him to maintain appearances for the sake of her winning this election. She puts herself on the line and trusts him to be her ‘fake boyfriend’.
In comes the hot bodyguard, Decker. Will this new dynamic in Evelynn’s life push him off the edge or push them together?
This story had all the steamy parts you ache to read. You root for Decker along the way. Evan becomes the pal you always wanted and you root for him also, but just not for Evelynn!
This was a fantastic read, with an easy banter amongst the characters. There are tense moments that leave you holding your breath for what the outcome will be.
