Both of the books were amazing. Valentina ran once she found out she was pregnant. She would try all she could to ensure her baby was safe and Gabriel wouldn't make her get rid of it. She didn't know Gabriel was the one that set in place all the changes in order to for her to get pregnant. She was running from the one who orchestrated everything. He had to if he wanted to continue to keep her safe.
His mother Magda, had her eyes set on killing Valentina. The reasons that would be revealed later were astonishing.
I loved the twists the turns, and boy were there many. I love how Gabriel only wanted to keep her safe and while he had messed up ways of achieving that goal in the end it all made sense and the ending of when he came back couldn't of been better.
I loved this duet and if you like dark romance you should check it out!
