A Knock At Midnight

A Knock At Midnight

Check out this book on Goodreads: A Knock at Midnight: A Story of Hope, Justice, and Freedom

This story breaks your heart. The way the justice system could incarcerate human beings with little to no evidence. Relying on testimony from others that had a word of mouth with no proof to back up, all just to see freedom themselves, they had to make the deal and turn on former friends.

The "war on drugs" ruined innocent lives. Tore families apart. People suffering in cells trying to make the best out of impossible deal.

This book makes you want to get a law degree so you can help fight the injustice.

There are thousands still locked up with 20+ year sentences that the state had no real evidence but of a word of a felon trying to get their own sentence reduced.

This was also an inspirational read as well. The characters' hope for freedom that Brittany could possibly prevail for them!

Must read!
